Ramadhan Reminder Day 19 (1447H/2026)

Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur’an:
“Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”

Allah encourages His servants to call upon Him, and He guarantees to respond. Sufyan Ath-Thawri rahimahullah used to say: “O You Who loves most those who ask of You, and O You Who hates most those who do not ask of You, and there is no one like that apart from You, O Lord.” (Ibn Kathir)

Dua is a powerful form of communication with Allah Ta’ala.

The following is just one of the many merits that have been mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith regarding dua.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Nothing is more honourable before Allah than supplication.”

One aspect of dua is the practice of reciting Masnoon duas. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us various duas that we can incorporate into our lives. These Masnoon duas serve as a blessing and guidance for believers. For every action we carry out during the day, there is some sort of Masnoon dua that we can recite. There are duas for waking up, going to sleep, entering the masjid, and leaving the masjid and many more. By reciting these duas, our connection with Allah Ta’ala increases, our faith is strengthened, we are protected from harm, and blessings increase.

We should obtain a kitaab with Masnoon duas and make a point of trying to learn at least one each week. By doing this, we can learn 52 duas within a year.
